Extension Issues
MeetAssist Extension Not Appearing
Problem: The extension icon doesn't show up in Chrome toolbar.
Solution:
- Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions - Find MeetAssist in the list
- Make sure it's enabled (toggle switch is blue)
- Click the puzzle icon in Chrome toolbar
- Pin MeetAssist for easy access
Extension Not Detecting Interview
Problem: MeetAssist doesn't activate during a video call.
Solution:
- Ensure you're using a supported platform (Google Meet, Zoom, Teams)
- Refresh the meeting page
- Check that MeetAssist has permission to access the page:

chrome://extensions - Click Details on MeetAssist
- Ensure "On all sites" is selected under Site access
- Go to
- Try rejoining the meeting
Extension Crashing or Freezing
Problem: MeetAssist stops responding during an interview.
Solution:
- Close and reopen the meeting tab
- Disable other Chrome extensions temporarily
- Clear browser cache:
- Go to Chrome Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data
- Select "Cached images and files"
- Clear data
- Reinstall the extension if the issue persists
Audio & Transcription Issues
MeetAssist Not Hearing Questions
Problem: The AI isn't picking up the interviewer's questions.
Solution:
- Check microphone permissions:
- Click the lock icon in Chrome address bar
- Ensure "Microphone" is set to "Allow"
- Verify your system microphone is working
- Ensure the interviewer isn't muted
- Check that browser audio isn't muted
- Try increasing your system volume
Poor Transcription Accuracy
Problem: Questions are transcribed incorrectly.
Solution:
- Use headphones to reduce background noise
- Ensure good internet connection
- Ask the interviewer to speak clearly
- Check microphone quality settings
- Switch to a quieter environment if possible
Login & Account Issues
Can't Log In
Problem: Unable to sign in to your MeetAssist account.
Solution:
- Clear browser cookies and cache
- Try incognito/private browsing mode
- Reset your password using "Forgot Password"
- Disable browser extensions that might interfere (ad blockers, etc.)
- Try a different browser
Resume Not Uploading
Problem: Can't upload resume to profile.
Solution:
- Check file format (PDF, DOCX, or TXT only)
- Ensure file size is under 10MB
- Remove any password protection from the PDF
- Try a different file format
- Check your internet connection
Suggestion Issues
Not Getting Relevant Suggestions
Problem: AI suggestions don't match the question or your background.
Solution:
- Update your resume in Profile settings
- Complete your Behavioral Profile with detailed examples
- Ensure your microphone is picking up questions clearly
- Try rephrasing the question in your own words
- Use Mock Interview mode to train the AI on your background
Suggestions Too Slow
Problem: AI takes too long to generate responses.
Solution:
- Check your internet connection speed
- Close unnecessary browser tabs
- Upgrade to Pro plan for faster processing
- Refresh the page if suggestions stop appearing
Performance Issues
High CPU/Memory Usage
Problem: MeetAssist causes browser slowdown.
Solution:
- Close other browser tabs and applications
- Disable video in the meeting if possible
- Lower video quality settings
- Restart your browser
- Check system requirements (minimum 4GB RAM recommended)
Video Call Lag
Problem: Video call becomes laggy when using MeetAssist.
Solution:
- Reduce video quality in the meeting settings
- Close background applications
- Use wired internet instead of WiFi if possible
- Disable MeetAssist video panel (audio-only mode)
Subscription & Billing
Payment Failed
Problem: Credit card declined or payment not processing.
Solution:
- Verify card details are correct
- Check with your bank for any restrictions
- Try a different payment method
- Contact support at billing@meetassist.io
Can't Access Pro Features
Problem: Subscribed but still seeing free plan limitations.
Solution:
- Log out and log back in
- Check subscription status in Account Settings
- Wait 5-10 minutes for subscription to activate
- Contact support with your transaction ID

Concerns About Data Privacy
Question: Is my interview data secure?
Answer:
- All data is encrypted end-to-end
- We never share your data with third parties
- You can delete interview history at any time

Will Interviewers Know I'm Using MeetAssist?
Answer:
- MeetAssist runs locally in your browser
- It's not visible to other meeting participants
- Use stealth mode for extra discretion
- No notifications are sent to the meeting platform
