Set up in 3 steps

About two minutes. The desktop app keeps itself up to date, never during an interview.

Step by step with every permission: install on Windows or Mac · install the extension

Mac

  1. 1Open the .dmg and drag MeetAssist into Applications.
  2. 2Allow Microphone and Screen Recording (plus System Audio Recording on macOS 14+). That’s how it hears the interviewer. It doesn’t record your screen.
  3. 3Sign in, add your CV and the job description, and press Start when the interview begins.

Windows

  1. 1Run MeetAssist-Setup.exe. If you see “Windows protected your PC”, click More info → Run anyway.
  2. 2Allow microphone access when Windows asks.
  3. 3Sign in, add your CV and the job description, and press Start when the interview begins.

Chrome

  1. 1Add MeetAssist from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. 2Join your meeting in Chrome, then open MeetAssist in that same tab.
  3. 3Allow the microphone and tab audio when Chrome asks, and press Start.

Download questions

Is MeetAssist free?

Every new account gets 20 minutes with all features, no card needed. After that, plans start at $9: one-time payments, no subscription.

Which Mac download do I need?

There’s one download for every Mac. It runs natively on both Apple Silicon (M1 and later) and Intel. It needs macOS 13 Ventura or later.

Does it work on Linux or ChromeOS?

There’s no Linux desktop app yet. On Linux, use the Chrome extension in desktop Chrome.

Do I need both the app and the extension?

No, pick one. Use the desktop app if you can: it stays hidden while you share your screen and hears every app on your computer.

How do updates work?

The desktop app updates itself: new versions download in the background and install the next time you quit, never during an interview.

Is it safe to install?

The Mac app is signed and notarized by Apple, and the Windows installer is code-signed. MeetAssist never joins your calls and never stores your audio.
