How to Use MeetAssist Phone Mode
Scan a QR code and the live transcript and answers move to your phone. Nothing extra on your computer screen, and nothing to install.

Set it up in four steps

Open MeetAssist on your computer
Use the desktop app for Windows or Mac, or the Chrome extension in your meeting tab. Add your CV and the job description as usual.

Choose “Start on phone”
Instead of Start, pick Start on phone. A QR code appears on your computer.

Scan the QR code
Point your phone’s camera at the code. It opens in your phone’s browser: no app to install and no sign-in on the phone. The session starts on its own once the phone connects.

Read the answers on your phone
The live transcript and the answers now appear on your phone, and MeetAssist steps off your computer screen. Your computer keeps listening to the call.

Coding tasks in Phone Mode
When a task appears on LeetCode, HackerRank, CoderPad or any coding platform, tap Analyze on your phone. MeetAssist reads the screen on your computer and sends the approach, the code and the time and space complexity to your phone, while your screen stays clean.
It works for multiple-choice quizzes and online assessments too, and it takes into account what was said on the call.
For live coding rounds, Coding mode in the desktop app makes your phone a remote for a small code window.

Do I need to install an app on my phone?
No. Phone Mode runs in your phone’s browser, on iPhone and Android. Scan the QR code and it opens; there’s nothing to install and no sign-in on the phone.
Does it work with Zoom, Teams and Google Meet?
Yes. With the desktop app, Phone Mode works with any call app, in the app or in the browser. With the Chrome extension, it works with meetings opened in that Chrome tab.
Will anything show on my computer screen?
When your phone connects, the desktop app’s window hides and the extension’s overlay disappears, so nothing from MeetAssist is on your screen.
Can I solve coding tasks from my phone?
Yes. Tap Analyze on your phone and MeetAssist reads the coding task, quiz or diagram on your computer screen and shows the approach, the code and the complexity on your phone.
My phone won’t connect. What should I do?
Turn off VPN on your computer or your phone. Both need to reach the same server; a VPN on one of them is the usual reason the QR code doesn’t connect.
Does Phone Mode cost extra?
No. It’s included in every plan, including the free 20 minutes.
