Install the Chrome Extension

Installing MeetAssist Chrome Extension

Get started with MeetAssist by installing our Chrome extension. The installation process takes less than a minute.

Step 1: Visit Chrome Web Store

1. Open Google Chrome browser on your computer
2. Visit the MeetAssist Chrome Extension page
3. Or search for "MeetAssist" in the Chrome Web Store

Step 2: Add to Chrome

1. Click the "Add to Chrome" button
2. A popup will appear asking for permissions
3. Review the permissions (we need access to video conferencing sites)
4. Click "Add Extension" to confirm

Step 3: Verify Installation

After installation, you should see:

• MeetAssist icon appears in your Chrome toolbar
• A welcome notification confirming successful installation
• The extension icon shows in the puzzle piece menu (top-right of Chrome)

Step 4: Pin the Extension (Recommended)

To easily access MeetAssist:

1. Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome toolbar
2. Find MeetAssist in the list
3. Click the pin icon next to MeetAssist
4. The extension will now stay visible in your toolbar

System Requirements

Supported Browsers:

• Google Chrome (version 90 or higher)
• Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based)

Operating Systems:

• Windows 10 or later
• macOS 10.13 or later
• Linux (most distributions)

Minimum Specs:

• 4GB RAM recommended
• Stable internet connection
• Microphone access

Permissions Explained

MeetAssist requires the following permissions:

Microphone Access

• Needed to transcribe interview questions in real-time
• Only active during video meetings

Access to Video Conferencing Sites

• Required to detect when you're in an interview
• Works with Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, and other platforms

Storage

• Saves your preferences and settings locally
• No data is shared without your permission

Troubleshooting Installation

Extension Not Appearing

If you don't see the extension after installation:

1. Refresh your Chrome browser
2. Check chrome://extensions to verify it's enabled
3. Try restarting Chrome

Installation Failed

If installation fails:

1. Check your internet connection
2. Make sure you're using a supported Chrome version
3. Clear browser cache and try again
4. Disable other extensions temporarily

Can't Find in Chrome Web Store

If you can't find MeetAssist:

• Use the direct link provided above
• Make sure you're searching in the Chrome Web Store (not Google Search)
• Check if you're in a supported region
