Creating Your MeetAssist Account

Setting up your MeetAssist account is quick and easy. Choose from multiple sign-up options to get started.

Sign Up Methods

Option 1: Sign Up with Google

The fastest way to create an account:

1. Click the MeetAssist extension icon in Chrome
2. Click "Sign Up" or "Get Started"
3. Select "Continue with Google"
4. Choose your Google account
5. Authorize MeetAssist to access your basic profile info
6. You're all set!

Option 2: Sign Up with Email

Prefer using email? Here's how:

1. Click the MeetAssist extension icon
2. Click "Sign Up"
3. Select "Sign Up with Email"
4. Enter your email address
5. Create a secure password (minimum 8 characters)
6. Verify your email address (check your inbox)
7. Click the verification link
8. Complete!

Option 3: Sign Up with Microsoft

For Microsoft users:

1. Open MeetAssist extension
2. Click "Sign Up"
3. Select "Continue with Microsoft"
4. Log in with your Microsoft account
5. Grant necessary permissions
6. Done!

Account Verification

After signing up:

Email Verification:

• Check your inbox for a verification email
• Click the verification link
• This activates your account fully

First-Time Setup:

• You'll be prompted to complete your profile
• Add your name and basic information
• Optional: Upload a profile picture

Choosing a Plan

MeetAssist offers different plans:

Free Plan:

• 3 mock interviews per month
• Basic AI suggestions
• 7-day interview history

Pro Plan ($9.99/month):

• Unlimited mock interviews
• Advanced AI with resume integration
• 90-day interview history
• Priority support

Start with Free: You can always upgrade later. The free plan is perfect for trying out MeetAssist.

Account Security

Password Requirements

Create a strong password:

• Minimum 8 characters
• Include uppercase and lowercase letters
• Add numbers and special characters
• Don't reuse passwords from other sites

Two-Factor Authentication (Recommended)

For extra security:

1. Go to Settings > Security
2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication
3. Use an authenticator app or SMS
4. Save backup codes in a safe place

Account Recovery

Set up account recovery:

• Add a recovery email
• Verify your phone number
• Keep your contact info updated

Privacy Settings

Control your data:

Profile Visibility:

• Your profile is private by default
• No data is shared with third parties
• You control what information we collect

Data Collection:

• Customize what data MeetAssist stores
• Enable or disable analytics
• Manage interview history retention

Account Dashboard

After creating your account, access your dashboard at:

• Click extension icon > "Open Dashboard"
• Or visit meetassist.io/dashboard

Dashboard Features:

• View your recent interviews
• Check usage statistics
• Manage your subscription
• Update profile settings

Switching Accounts

Need to use multiple accounts?

1. Click your profile icon in the extension
2. Select "Switch Account"
3. Sign in with a different account
4. MeetAssist will switch contexts

Troubleshooting

Verification Email Not Received

If you don't see the verification email:

• Check your spam/junk folder
• Wait a few minutes (it can take up to 10 minutes)
• Click "Resend verification email"
• Try a different email address

Can't Sign In

If you're having trouble logging in:

• Verify you're using the correct email
• Reset your password if needed
• Clear browser cookies and cache
• Try a different browser

Account Already Exists

If you get "Account already exists" error:

• You may have signed up before
• Try "Forgot Password" to recover access
• Check if you used a different sign-up method (Google vs Email)
